Airman’s Spotlight: Staff Sgt. Andrew Longaker
Staff Sgt. Andrew Longaker, a 47th Comptroller Squadron accounting technician, discusses the importance of keeping all of the Comprehensive Airman Fitness pillars strong and stable. “These pillars all rely on one another, meaning that when one pillar is weakened or destroyed, the other three pillars have to carry more weight,” Longaker said. “Eventually, one weakened pillar leads to four weakened pillars, damaging the integrity of any Airman. Lower fitness levels can eventually lead to lower energy levels and failed PT Tests, which can begin to affect the Mental & Social pillars if they go unchecked.” (U.S. Air Force graphic by Senior Airman John A.
