  • Lt. Gen Webb and CMSgt Gudgel visit Team XL

    Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of Air Education and Training Command (AETC), and Chief Master Sgt. Juliet Gudgel, the Command Chief Master Sergeant of AETC, visit with members of the 47th Flying Training Wing’s senior leadership during an immersion tour Aug. 14, 2019, at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. Webb assumed command of AETC on July 26 and visits Laughlin as part of his immersion tour. During their visit, Webb and Gudgel visited permanent party quarters as well as student quarters to get a better understanding of the housing problem Laughlin is facing.

  • A larger community in the making

    Nearly two years ago, a series of storms with 60 mph winds dropped golf ball-sized hail, which severely damaged roofs, vehicles, siding and fences at Laughlin. Now, Laughlin Family Housing has recovered all of the units and is at 99 percent occupancy. Even through difficult times, the family housing staff are determined to ensure residents receive the best quality support.

    The Air Force revised its utility allowance policy May 18 to ensure quality on-base housing for military families and continue to cover utility costs for the average energy consumer.
