LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Unit and job title: 47th Flying Training Wing Inspector General chief of wing exercises
Why he XLed: Capt. Jordan Ediger instituted the first ever three-year wing emergency management goal, finding challenge areas to focus and exercise, and ultimately keeping Laughlin prepared. Ediger energized active shooter awareness on base, leading a three-hour training with seven different experts on the subject, sharing life-saving skills with 67 personnel. Ediger expanded the base exercise’s table top planning process, coordinating and synchronizing 122 on and off-base players. He led the wing exercise when it was performed, managing 57 wing inspections teams and 99 objectives, lighting the way forward for future concepts of operations. Ediger also authored Laughlin’s exercise operating instruction, laying a comprehensive foundation and expectations for the wing, aligning the base with headquarters’ guidelines.
