Due to an increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases within the local area, the 47th Flying Training wing commander, Col. Craig Prather, has directed Health Protection Condition Charlie (HPCON C) on December 4th, 2020.

Expect potential cancellations of in-person official and unofficial gatherings on base. Official gatherings held inside base facilities can’t exceed 10 individuals or 50 percent of the occupancy limitations of the meeting place, whichever is less, unless authorized as mission-essential by the respective group commander.

“We ask that you do everything to keep each other safe,” Prather said. “It’s our job to effectively and safely mitigate COVID-19 risk to our Airmen, families, and community in order to ensure the wing continues its critical mission of building combat ready Airmen, leaders and pilots.”

Laughlin leadership is determined to take decisive measures to maintain a healthy military force and safeguard the local community. For further questions, please contact the Laughlin AFB Public Affairs office at 47ftwpa.tasker@us.af.mil or visit our website.
