LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

Unit and job title: 47th Security Forces Squadron vehicle control officer

Why he XLed: Lowrance filled an NCO spot to cover a gap in manning and took on four additional duties to include: Unit Deployment Manager, Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool representative, Status of Resources and Training representative and Emergency Management representative. He identified new government vehicle driver’s license requirements and coordinated training course dates for 99 unit members. Lowrance also completed an Airman Professional Enhancement Seminar, earned six credit hours for his Associate of Applied Sciences in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force, and maintained a 3.7 grade point average.
