LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – The nurse advice hotline recently underwent upgrades, on Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, Nov. 3, 2016.
According to an article written by the 47th Medical Group, beneficiaries have had 24-hour access to free health care advice since 2014, but after recent changes nurses can also:
• Enter Urgent Care and Emergency Room referrals directly into the system
• Schedule an MTF appointment at your local Medical Treatment Facility within 24 hours
• Answer urgent care questions and give health care advice
• Help find a doctor near patients when traveling
“We are super excited to have [upgraded] the 24-7 healthcare advice hotline,” says Col. Thatcher Cardon, 47th MDG commander. “We want to be the best medical group that anyone has worked, with and the Nurse Advice Line is just another excellent tool to help us meet our patients' needs.”
