Unit and job title: 87th Flying Training Squadron Assistant Flight Commander

Why he XLed: U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Paxton Parker lead a four man team during the “Red Bull Round Up” squadron event, which improved the morale of 50 officers and family members. Paxton managed his squadron’s schedule, which included 104 pilots, 630 sorties and $19.7 million worth of training, ensuring on-time graduation of six student pilots.  Paxton executed 33 flights totaling 38 hours, which enabled his squadron to push an undergraduate pilot training class three days ahead of their training timeline and to graduate eight officers on time, ensuring his squadron’s 100 percent on time graduation rate. Paxton also volunteered 55 hours in support of ‘FAIPapalooza’ and the ‘Adventure Race’, which provided crucial support to 130 racers and 20 squadrons across AETC.
