LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --
Laughlin members showed their commitment to each other Nov. 29 as hundreds of Airmen spent their afternoon participating in games and activities testing their teamwork during this year's Wingman Day events.
The event, which started with a safety briefing at Anderson Hall, involved games such as nine-legged race, all aboard, wingman-to-the-rescue, trivial flight, never-leave-a-wingman-behind, the maintenance challenge, brainstorm and other team-building obstacle courses.
"Wingman Day events give Airmen the chance to unwind and spend time together in a different mode away from the work place," said Tech. Sgt. Sebastian Aboki, 47th Force Support Squadron. "It increases moral and 'esprit de corp'. Not only was it fun, it also taught team work."
At the end of the events, prizes were awarded to teams with best time overall. The 84th Flying Training Squadron emerged the overall winner
with a time of 30 minutes, 19 seconds
Wingman Day activities are intended to encourage people to take better care of each other and provide information on four health fronts: emotional, social, spiritual and physical.
"I can't believe how much fun I had during Wingman Day," said Airman 1st Class Nichole Boardman, 47th Flying Training Wing. "I learned a lot about my teammates and myself."
