The Laughlin Spouses’ Club brought holiday joy to enlisted Airmen and student pilots with nearly 5,000 cookies, as part of the annual Cookie Caper event Dec. 10, 2015.

The packages were assembled and delivered by spouses and their children to the doors of about 800 single Airmen at Laughlin.

“Most Airmen really feel the distance from family around the holidays. Cookie Caper is a way to remind all the single Airmen on base that they are part of our family now too,” said Hillary Bailey, Laughlin Spouses’ Club charitable chair.

Over 30 people lead to the donating of over 400 dozen cookies.

Without the help of our spouse there is no way we could have accomplished this project” said Bailey. “I thank them for helping make our single Airmen feel a part of the Laughlin family.”

“It was such a nice gesture for them to bring us bags of cookies, said Airman 1st Class Juliana Busque, 47th Medical Support Squadron Patient Travel and Referral Management Clerk. “It feels good to know we are thought of during the holiday season.”
